Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport Introduces its First Bitcoin ATM

On June 20, 2018, officials with the Schiphol Airport announced they were installing the first Bitcoin ATM. The machine will offer travelers the ability to change over their Euro to either Ether or Bitcoin.

Schiphol airport says this is the first ATM of its kind to offer such an amenity at any airport in the European region; it will be available at Arrival Hall 2 along with Departure Halls 1 and 2, and the Schiphol Plaza.

The ATM will be available through January 2019. It's all part of six-month trial period to see just how popular cryptocurrency demand is.
